Get your ginger bubbles to the boil!

Is your ginger starter bubbling? Then it’s time to make a new blend for the starter to be mixed in.

All you need is:
4 liters of water
100 grams organic ginger with peel (grated or sliced)
5 dl sugar
The juice of one lemon

Get 2 liters of water to the boil with the ginger – and let it boil for 20 minutes. Pour it through a sieve into another saucepan – add the sugar while stirring until it is dissolved. Now add the final two liters of water. Add the lemon juice. Taste the mixture – add sugar if you prefer it sweeter. When the juice has cooled down to room temperature add the ginger starter. Pour the mass into a container with a patent lid or something you can put a cloth over. Stir the ginger beer every day – just as you did with the starter. After a couple of days the beer will be bubbling away – and then it’s ready. It should then be poured on patent bottles or bottles with lids, but we will return in a few days with the last tips and images.
