When you are having a cold or need to relax there’s nothing better than a nice cup of chamomile tea with honey. Insomnia, stress, sore throat and digestion problems are some of the issues Chamomile can comfort – and it tastes great too. It is easy to make your own chamomile tea.
The small flowers are picked by hand when they bloom and then dried.
The collected chamomile flowers are spread out on a screen, a dish or a dish towel. Place them preferably in a warm but shady spot. We place them in a window shelf facing northwest. It is also possible to oven dry chamomile flowers, but you have to be careful and not have the oven temperature higher than 50 degrees. Afterwards you keep the flowers in an airtight glass.
When you want to enjoy a good cup of chamomile tea, pour boiling water over the dried flowers (about 1 spoonful) and leave for about 5-10 minutes before you drink it – tastes heavenly with a good drop of honey and a slice of lemon.
